Gailine “Gail” Lee Baird, 77, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at Ohio County Hospital. She was born July 8, 1947 in Ohio County to the late Porter and Helen Tichenor McClure. Gail had worked as an office secretary for the Daviess County Public Schools and was a member and treasurer of Glenville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her child, Larry Adkins; and her second husband, Jerry Baird.
She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi (Tony) Cook; and bonus kids, Jane (Ronnie) Crumbaker, David (Leigh Ellen) Baird, and Joyce (Scott) Ashby; 3 grandchildren, Kaylie, Dustyn, and Allysha; 5 bonus grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth McClure (Gale) and Kathy Hubbard (Phil); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Green Brier Baptist Church, 12122 Vertrees Road in Utica. Burial will follow in Green Brier Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Monday at the church.
