Roger Neal Jenkins, 81, of Utica, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at his home. He was born November 6, 1943 in Logan County to the late Willie Neal Jenkins and Nancy Louise Burchett Jenkins. Roger loved to hunt and especially fishing. He enjoyed UK Basketball, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, gardening and spending time with family. Roger was a member of Southside Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Laster Jenkins; brother Lewis Rudolph “Rudy” Jenkins and his wife, Margie Jenkins.
He is survived by his son, Tony Jenkins (Rhonda); daughter, Jennifer Lynn Johnson (Jeff); five grandchildren, Camron, Lexie, Bailey, Kennadee, and Karsen; brother, James “Jim” Jenkins (Martha); nephews, Mike Jenkins and Jimmy Neal Jenkins (Marina); niece, Janice Daniels; great-nephews, Seth Jenkins and Sean Hester; and a great-nice, Rachael Jenkins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory officiated by Bro. Jimmy Neal Jenkins. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery, Greenville. Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
