Donald Nall, 88 of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born on December 26, 1935 in the Brooklyn Naval Yard to the late Russell & Mattie Ellen Nall. Don was a member of Apollo Heights Baptist Church. He was a United States Marine Veteran, and a very active member in the local Marine Corps League. He retired after 33 years from the Daviess County School System as a U.S. history teacher.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ora Thompson Nall.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Nall; daughter, Kelly Whitsett; son, Whitney T. Nall; “adopted” daughter, Julia Morgan Fair; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and two “adopted” grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 13, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation is from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday and after 10:00am on Friday at the funeral home.
