Owensboro 15, Grayson County 5
Owensboro 17, Meade County 2 (3 innings)
Braxton French and Collier Higgs each had two homers on the day and the Red Devils (20-8) dominated a doubleheader at Grayson County, stretching their win streak to nine games.

French, Higgs and Trace Grenier hit long balls in the three-inning win over Meade County. Eight different players scored in the first inning, which featured all three homers. Isaac Humphrey scored all three times he stepped to the plate, while Grenier and Nick Belcher each had three RBIs. Corey Gibson picked up the win.

Against Grayson County, French went 3-for-5 with another home run, a triple, two runs and a pair of RBIs. Higgs had a two-run shot in the first inning and scored twice. Brennon Williams went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Weston Hayden had a pair of hits that drove in three runners. Higgs got the win on the mound.

Owensboro plays a final game at home Monday before finishing the regular season with two away games.


Breckinridge County 3, Owensboro Catholic 0
The Aces (17-14) couldn’t get any offense going in a home loss, as a single by Sam McFarland in the seventh inning provided the lone hit for Catholic. The Aces were scheduled to play Hopkinsville in the second game of a doubleheader, but it was cancelled in the fourth inning due to weather.

Mason Grant went 4.0 innings in the loss, giving up three runs on four hits with three strikeouts.

Catholic closes out the season with two home games this week.

McCracken County 9, Apollo 0
Bowling Green 8, Apollo 2
The Eagles (14-14) dropped both ends of a doubleheader played at Bowling Green. Full stats were not available. Apollo will return home for all three remaining games of the regular season this week.


Henderson County 5, Daviess County 1
The Panthers (9-16) came up short in a road loss to the Colonels. Full stats were not available. Daviess County will finish the regular season with a pair of away games this week.
