OCTC Chorus presenting holiday concert tonight, featuring KY Youth Chorale

The Owensboro Community and Technical College Chorus, under the direction of Professor of Music Dr. Connie Ford and accompanied by pianist Anna Sparks, will perform a free Christmas concert tonight.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at First Christian Church, located at 700 JR Miller Boulevard.

The concert will feature works from composers of the 19th, 20th, and 21st century, including Franz Wasner, Lloyd Larson, Dan Forrest, Felix Mendelssohn, Cameron McGraw, Carolyn Jennings, and Shawn Kirchner.

A highlight of the concert will be the inclusion of the 37-voice Kentucky Youth Chorale directed by Madison Wells.

The 47-member OCTC Chorus has presented fall and spring concerts since Spring 1987.

Scheduled performers include: Robbin Baughn, Patty Brown, Angela Bruce, Mike Bruce, Linda Burgess, Denise Bushong, Katherine Cooke, Janet Corum, Leigh Crume, Jeanette Ebelhar, Susanne Eineigel, Janet Estes, Melinda Francis, Chris Freels, Chris Gutierrez, Maurice Hanley, Beth Holmes, Rick Houston, Debi Wade Jordan, Mary Jungmann, Ellie Kline, Sam Koon, Rachel Kurz, Carroll Laswell, Leah-Marie McDivitt, Bob Meacham, Vicki Meacham, Calvin Mindrup, Shannon Muffett, Jo Nelson, Tom Pope, Allison Price, Scott Salyer, Christie Stumpf, Sr. Sharon Sullivan, David Taylor, Mike Tichenor, Chris Tolliver, Tony Sparks, Maddox Tucker, Cathryn Tupy, Philip Webster, Wendy Wells, Alice Welsh, Jim Wilhoyte, Hannah Windhurst, Sarah Worth, and Benjamin Wright.
