
Jerry B. King 80, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Jerry Ben King was born December 10, 1943 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Earl and Louise Burden King and was married to the former Mary Lou Howe in June of 2010.
Jerry retired from the Peabody Coal Mines and was a member of the No One Left Behind Tabernacle in Calhoun. He also was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Jerry loved hearing and sharing the word of God and also enjoyed worshiping through music.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his second wife, Delora Sue King; a son-in-law, Chris Murphy; two step sons, Doug Waldorf and Butch Waldorf; a step daughter, Vicki Waldorf; a brother, Welborn King; and a sister, Nancy Casey Scalf.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary Lou King; a son, J.T. King (Ronda) of Livermore; two daughters, LaVonna King of Livermore and Loretta Murphy of Rumsey; the mother of his children, Jeanette King of Owensboro; 21 grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Johnny Case of Calhoun, David King, Ted King, and Bruce King all of Owensboro; two sisters, Barbara Collignon and Bonnie Towery both of Owensboro; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, November 29, 2024 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Nickel Ridge Cemetery in Daviess County. Military Honors will be conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 5415. Friends may visit with Jerry’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Friday at Musters in Calhoun.
