Brenda C. Morris, 81, of Owensboro passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The Daviess County native was born February 24, 1943. Early in her life, Brenda was a fairly good bowler. She enjoyed raising flowers and the hummingbirds they attracted. While she never worked outside of the home, Brenda was devoted to being a good wife and raising her children. She enjoyed camping and rooting for her favorite NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Brenda also enjoyed watching old western movies with “Wagon Train,” and “Wyatt Earp,” being among her favorite. She was a kind soul who never met a stranger, never cussed, and never got upset. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, Brenda also was preceded in death by her three sisters, Joanne Johnson, Judy Sumner, and Charlotte Campbell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of sixty-two years, Vincent Morris Sr.; three children, Vince Morris Jr., Todd Morris all of Owensboro, and Tanya Morris (William Allen) of Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Weston Allen (Taylor), Jared Morris (Hali), and Jacob Morris (Meagan); step grandson, Brandon Cox (Jessica); four great grandchildren, Eva, Alice Mae, Robert “Bobby”, and Aubree Morris; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at noon Friday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with same day visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
