Rodney Mike Smith, 72, of Owensboro passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Owensboro Health. He was born on December 14, 1951 in Martinsville, IN. He formerly worked at H&S Construction, Martin Custom Building, and Holland General Contracting. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Smith and his brother, Randy Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Phyllis York Smith; two sons, Mike (Gina) Smith and Jeremy (Stephanie) Smith; two daughters, Sabrina Smith and Jennifer (Darrell) Hurm; and his grandchildren, McKenzie (Chase), Tyler, Kaylin, Carye, Gavin, and Emma; a brother, Tim (Linda) Smith; two sisters, Sandy and Teresa.
James H. Davis has been entrusted with his care. Services will be private.
