Henry “Gene” Lott, 87 of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Marion VA Medical Center. He was born on January 7, 1937 in Rumsey to the late Daniel & Sally Ann Lott. Gene was retired from W.R. Grace and was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a History Buff, and loved watching documentaries and reading all about history. Gene collected coins and knifes. He also enjoyed metal detecting, working crossword puzzles, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Alice Anne Lott, and his daughter, Lisa Alsup.
Survivors include this two daughters, Leeanne Lott and Lana Galloway (Clayton); three granddaughters, Kara Barnes, Elena Lott, and Natalie Moss; and a great granddaughter, Olivia Barnes; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at Noon on Monday, October 28, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Gene will be laid to rest next to his wife in a private family burial in Ralph Cemtery.
