
Thomas Mitchell Foster, 74, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024. He was born June 19, 1950, in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Thomas Beverly Foster and Dorothy Jean Foster.
Tom retired from the Kentucky Division of Mental Health Department of Substance Abuse for Probation and Parole. He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserve serving during the Vietnam conflict. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana. When he was 48 years old he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, which he fought a hard and courageous battle for the last 25 years.
Tom enjoyed reading, especially books by Stephan King, and he enjoyed watching action movies.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Tony Foster.
He is survived by his wife Rosemary Foster, a son, David Foster, of Pelham, AL, sisters-in-law Dorothy Drury, and Theresa Barnett, both of Owensboro, Carla Foster, of Evansville, Indiana, a brother-in-law Joseph S. Young of Utica, Ky, and several cousins, and several nieces and nephews.
As Tom requested, private family services have already taken place. The entombment was performed at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.
