Evelyn Mae Blevins passed into glory on October 9, 2024. She loved people, and was a longtime Homemakers member, where she served as Hardin County president for two years. She was also a longtime member of Baptist women. Her first child, Justin Daniel, was a preemie that she lost shortly after birth. However, the Lord didn’t forget her, and five years later rewarded her with Jacob, which brought her tremendous joy. Later, Jacob married Jessica Thrasher who has borne him three beautiful children, Esther, Judah, and Caleb Blevins, who she absolutely adored. She loved crafts and baby animals, but most of all she loved the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her nuclear family consisting of her parents, Joseph and Minnie Sutton; and Wayne, Cecil, and Bobby Sutton; and a brother-in-law, Bill Blevins.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ted Blevins; son, Jacob Blevins (Jessica); three grandchildren, Esther, Judah, and Caleb; niece, Jessica Sutton; great-niece Stella Sutton; and two nephews Joseph and Josh Sutton. As well as Ted’s nuclear family, Sue Grace (Roger), Ellie Lee (Doug), Tamme (Ronnie), and Dennis Blevins; Jessica’s devoted parents, Lenny and Dorothy, who she shared child care for almost seven years; and best friends she often talked with, Christy, and also Barbara McCormick.
