Edith Hays, 71, of Philpot, died April 27, 2019 at her home. She was born on July 15, 1947 in Daviess County to the late Charles Brown and Rebecca Davis. She is a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Edith enjoyed Mickey Mouse, Garfield, Coca-Cola, UK basketball and all her fur babies.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Hays; granddaughter, Magen Thomas; brothers, William and Doug Brown; sister, Linda Minton.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim (Charlie) Dant; grandchildren, Nathen (Kasey) Bivins and Kelsey (Mark) Cecil; nine great-grandchildren, Jazlyn, Jacob, Braedin, Brenton, Lily, Phoenix, Maci, Tinsley, and Harley; and several nieces.
Services will be 4:00 pm Thursday, May 2, 2019 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Private burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2:00-4:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
