Anna Bollinger Haire Spencer

Anna Bollinger Haire Spencer, 94, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at her home. She was born on July 16, 1924 in Daviess County to the late Frank and Maude Bollinger. She was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church. Anna retired from General Electric Company, and enjoyed spending time at their lake house on Rough River. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Haire, Sr.; son, Carl Haire, Jr.; brothers, Joseph, Newman, Norman, and Frank Bollinger, Jr.; sister, Tommie Krause; and step-grandson, Chad LaForrest.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, James H. Spencer; daughter, Sandy Haire O’Flynn; two stepsons, Robert Spencer (Corie), Brian Spencer (Trish); stepdaughter, Debbie LaForrest (Jeff); five grandchildren, Eugene O’Flynn, Jr. (Sarah), Brian O’Flynn (Terri), Kellie Craig (Will), Lynnette Ferguson (Dane), Carla Wilson (Warren); five step-grandchildren, Radley Spencer, Annabeth Spencer, Eric Spencer, Adam Spencer, Roxanne Birdwell; 10 great-grandchildren, Trae O’Flynn, Isaac O’Flynn, Cassidy O’Flynn, Cameron O’Flynn, Morgan Craig, Brooke Mohon (Matt), Bailie Campbell, Tayrn Ferguson, Hunter Wilson, and Hailie Wilson; eight step great-grandchildren, Madaline, Alex, Baileigh, Bentley, Devin, Kendra, Deshaun, and Jordan; and one great-great-grandchild, Emaline Mohon.

Services will be 1:00 pm on Thursday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm Wednesday and after 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home.
