Annette Johnson, 65, born July 24, 1959, went home peacefully after a long battle with cancer on October 2, 2024. Throughout her fight she kept her faith and belief in God and his plan for her life. To greet her in her transition will be her mother and father, Dovie Lee Johnson and Augustus Johnson, Jr.; brothers Jerry Lee Johnson and William Johnson; and a sister, Patricia Gadson.
“Nettie” was a graduate of Owensboro Senior High. She received a degree in Computer Science from OCTC. She was employed Commonwealth Rolled Products in the IT department.
Ms. Johnson enjoyed numerous hobbies including diamond painting, jigsaw puzzles, tech games and electronics, crocheting with her two sisters – the trio lovingly called “The Coven”. She loved watching “Friends” and “The Big Bang Theory”. She also had a love for her family and hosting swim parties during the summers.
In 2001, she adopted a baby boy. She would often tell Jaden the bedtime story of how God said “Annette, come and get your baby”. She instilled in Jaden a love for family and the core values she held dear.
She was a member of Rock Church located in Owensboro, Kentucky where she played bass with the church band and served as church financial officer.
