Apollo put together one of their best performances of the season, while Daviess County pelted Greenwood on the road.

Apollo 2, Ohio County 1

Valor Smith and Ahmad Hanafi both scored as the Eagles took down Ohio County on the road 2-1. Jason Perez and Fernando Perez each had an assist while goalie Luke Mattingly finished with seven saves.

“This was the best full game we have put together,” Apollo head coach Nikos Agisilaou said. “We have been playing our best soccer as of late. There are some kids stepping up and we are figuring out the rotation going into postseason play. We play Daviess County on Thursday night and that will be a team that we have to be at our best against.”

Daviess County 5, Greenwood 1

Leading 1-0 entering halftime, the Panthers’ balanced offense was too much for Greenwood down the stretch, cruising to a 5-1 road win. Daviess County had nine shots on goal, with Palmer Tempelton, Lukas Humphrey, Cameron Bell, Saw Mu, and Silas Goebel all finding the back of the net. Goalie Harrison Dunaway finished with four saves.
