Daviess County had no answers for North Hardin on either side of the ball, only accumulating 93 total yards of offense in their 35-6 loss at home Friday night.

Less than 3 minutes into the first quarter, North Hardin quarterback Durelle Loggins connected with Ronald Lunz for a 37-yard touchdown, but Ethan Moss’s extra point attempt was blocked.

With 4:52 remaining in the first quarter, Loggins threw a 13-yard touchdown strike to Marian Jaudon and then connected on the 2-point attempt with Lunz for an early 14-0 lead. As the first quarter was winding down, Panthers quarterback Remi Davis was picked off by Seth Woods, who ran it 55 yards for a touchdown and a 21-0 lead.

Attempting to march down the field, Davis fumbled on North Hardin’s 35. North Hardin quickly turned it back over when Loggins was picked off by Jaxx Hendricks, but the Panthers went three-and-out.

North Hardin went on to score two more touchdowns to take a commanding 35-0 lead into halftime. With 3 minutes left in the third quarter, the Panthers finally found the endzone when Gatlin Maysey ripped off a 35-yard touchdown run.

Davis finished 5-17 with 58 passing yards and an interception. Jace Hunt was limited on offense, rushing for only four yards while hauling in three passes for 37 yards.

The Panthers will now turn their attention to a road contest at Meade County (2-2).
