UWOV invites the public to join UWOV on Tuesday, September 17, at noon at the Owensboro Convention Center to announce our artist winners of the Barrels of Heart fundraiser painted bourbon barrels. Three artist jurors, Aaron Kiser, Mary Katherine Maddox, and Diane Huff, selected a Grand Prize Winner. Two of the jurors will attend to announce the winner. The People’s Choice winner, chosen by community votes, will also be announced. There will be 4 painted barrels available to bid on for purchase.
Jeff Esposito, with the Oak View Group and General Manager of the Convention Center, will acknowledge the second-year partnership with UWOV in hosting a display of the painted barrels in the Convention Center lobby. This will be the last chance to see all 14 barrels in person. There will be 4 painted barrels available to bid on for purchase. Also, an opportunity to meet some of the artists. All are welcome to attend.
Money raised from the Barrels of Heart fundraiser is a continued effort of UWOV to raise money to fund 57 non-profits in a 6-county region. This is an exciting opportunity to meet the painted barrel artists and support and thank the artists for their donation of time, skills, and talent to the UWOV Barrels of Heart fundraiser.
The Convention Center Kentucky Legend Cafe will be open for lunch.
