Apollo shutout Union County, McLean County drew with Butler County, while Owensboro dropped a heartbreaker to Evansville Central on Thursday.

Jada Pollard scored five goals and added two assists in the E-Gals 8-0 shutout win over Union County. Lilli Ruth, Dalleigh Sullivan, and Leila Miller also all scored, while Ruth, Sullivan, and Yeiser all recorded assists.
“I thought we were much more organized than previous performances and the girls put themselves in good spaces to create chances,” Apollo head coach Zach Akin said. “It was a solid performance to build on and we need to work on some things before heading back into region and district opponents over the next two matches.”
McLean County 7, Butler County 7
Landry Humphrey finished with a hat trick and two assists while Katie McCoy scored and recorded an assist in McLean County’s 7-7 draw at home with Butler County. Alma Perez, Shelby Hawley, and Hayley Louden also all scored, while goalie Braelyn Thomas recorded five saves.
“We are putting goals on the board,” McLean County head coach Ricky Humphrey said. “That’s something that we knew we would be able to accomplish. We are continuing to work on the defense. It is coming along. We are definitely heading in the right direction.”
Evansville Central 4, Owensboro 1
Ella Hall assisted Karleigh Brown in the 6th minute to get the Lady Devils on the board early, but that was all the offense could muster – falling to Evansville Central 4-1. Goalie Hayley Sikes recorded seven saves.
“We definitely had an off game tonight and we should have competed with this team,” Owensboro head coach Sarah Poole said.
