Owensboro Times is thrilled to announce a long-anticipated expansion of our daily sports coverage. We’re now bringing recaps, game stories, and features of Hancock County to our readers!
For the past 6 years, the Owensboro Times has been your go-to source for all things sports at Apollo, Daviess County, Owensboro, Owensboro Catholic, and Trinity high schools. Now, we’re taking the excitement to the next level by adding Hancock County to our lineup!
“Our roots in Owensboro-Daviess County run deep, and we’re ready to grow even stronger by bringing Hancock County into the fold,” said Managing Editor Ryan Richardson. “We knew from Day 1 we wanted to expand our coverage to Hancock County, and we’ve been working diligently over the last several months to finally make it happen. We’re buzzing with excitement about the possibilities it brings!”
Hancock County Athletic Director Bobby Eubanks shared our enthusiasm.
“Our kids are grateful that OT will offer more exposure within the community. It gives them a different way to showcase their talents,” he said. “Overall, we have hardworking coaches and student-athletes across all seasons, and we’re excited to see them get the recognition they deserve.”
Eubanks added that the athletic department has undergone a bit of a rebrand in recent months, and they’ve collaborated on a new vision for Hornet athletics.
“Our vision is to ignite a culture of champions guided by our unwavering core values of loyalty, respect, teamwork, resilience, and integrity,” Eubanks said. “Owensboro Times has made a big impression in Owensboro-Daviess County, and we’re excited to be a part of their expanded coverage area as we continue to grow our athletic department.”
With this expansion, the Owensboro Times is dedicated to bringing the remarkable achievements and heartwarming stories of Hancock County’s student-athletes to the forefront. Our commitment to local sports has never been stronger, and we’re ready to innovate and elevate our coverage like never before.
