In a home match against multiple regional rivals, Daviess County continued their torrid play shooting a 172 to claim first place, well ahead of second-place Ohio County’ 207.

Owensboro Catholic finished third with a 215, Union County was fourth with a 220, and Owensboro High School shot a 225.

“I am proud of our girls tonight and how they brought consistent play after a long day of school,” DC head coach Jonas Billingsley said. “Ben Hawes is one of the tightest courses we will play this year. Scores can jump on you if you’re not striking the ball well. “

Leading the way individually was the Lady Panthers’ Baylie Billingsley with a 40, with teammate Briley Billingsley right behind with a 41. Tied for third with a 42 were Ohio County’s Maggie Graves and Daviess County’s Claire Reynolds. Rounding it out for DC was Kennedi Minton with 49.

“To see Baylie, Briley, and Claire shoot 40, 41, and 42 respectively was great work,” Billingsley said. “They finished first, second, and tied for third. Kennedi Minton’s 49 is a personal best. She will be a staple for the Lady Panthers for many years to come.”

Owensboro Catholic’s Hannah Robbins and Owensboro High School’s Ryann Kasey led their respective teams with a 50 and 51.
