Paving work on U.S. 60 on the east side of Owensboro is set to begin Monday, Aug. 12, and will continue through Friday, Aug. 23. The project, managed by a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, will cover a 4.5-mile stretch of both eastbound and westbound lanes.
The work will occur daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., focusing on the section between KY 54 and KY 2830. Crews will apply new asphalt to address cracking and wear in the existing roadway.
During the project, one lane will be closed at a time, so drivers are urged to watch for signs indicating lane closures.
