This fall, Trunnell’s Farm Market in Daviess County is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the beloved Peanuts comic strip with a custom-designed corn maze featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the Great Pumpkin. Trunnell’s is one of more than 75 farms across North America selected to participate in this special tribute.

The Peanuts-themed corn maze, covering three acres, is part of Trunnell’s Farm Experience, which runs from August 31 to November 2. Visitors can also explore a sunflower field, a U-Pick pumpkin patch, and over 35 other attractions, including an animal barnyard, bird aviary, grain train rides, and fall photo opportunities.

“We’re thrilled to work with Peanuts Worldwide and The MAiZE to bring Schulz’ characters to life in our corn maze,” says Kevin Trunnell, co-owner of Trunnell’s Farm Market. “Visitors will love interacting with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Lucy in a hands-on way they may never have experienced before. We’re honored to help celebrate the 75th-anniversary events commemorating Charles Schulz and Peanuts.”

The Peanuts corn maze is part of a larger celebration, with farms across 35 states and provinces participating. Jill Schulz, daughter of Peanuts creator Charles Schulz, expressed excitement about the tribute.

“For 75 years, Peanuts has charmed, delighted, and moved fans through my father’s creativity and wit—and what a wonderful way to celebrate his work than with the ingenuity of these Peanuts corn mazes,” said Jill Schulz, daughter of Charles Schulz. “It will be a thrill to see Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the gang rising from the heartland, and I just wish my dad could see his creations ‘writ large.’”

Brett Herbst launched the Peanuts-themed corn mazes in 2016, attracting several million visitors to multiple communities nationwide. He said the innovative event is a great way to “salute the genius of Charles Schulz.

Trunnell’s Farm Experience is a fall destination in Utica, just south of Owensboro, drawing thousands of visitors annually. In addition to the maze, guests can enjoy bonfires, caramel apples, wine slushies, and more seasonal treats.
