Fresh off of winning their fourth straight state championship, the Owensboro American Legion Post 9 Bombers advanced to the 2024 American Legion Baseball regionals. 64 teams gathered and were placed into eight groups, with the top eight teams advancing to the American Legion World Series. A double elimination tournament, the regional tournament starts tomorrow morning.
Placed in the Great Lakes Region, the Bombers face off against Evansville (Ind.) Post 265 in the first round. The game will start as soon as the 9:30 am match between Midland (Mich.) Post 165 vs. Lancaster (Ohio) Post 11 ends.
