Update, 6 p.m. August 4 — The East Daviess County Water Association has lifted the water boil advisory, although it could be later tonight before water pressure returns to normal for some customers.
According to the utility’s Facebook page, the boil advisory was lifted around 4:30 p.m. Sunday when they announced “all of our samples came back clear.”
In response to multiple customers commenting on the Facebook post and asking about water pressure, the company replied, “It may be later tonight before full pressure is restored.”

The East Daviess County Water Association has issued a boil advisory for the Knottsville area. They released a list of the affected roads. Officials say they don’t have an anticipated time of when the advisory will be lifted.
In a comment regarding the estimated repair time, East Daviess County Water Association said they are unsure of a timeframe but that their crew is onsite and “will be there until the water is restored.”
