A former healthcare employee has been acquitted of all charges related to allegations of sexually abusing a female patient in 2021.

Court records show that following a 3-day trial, a Daviess County jury found David A. Owen not guilty of first-degree sodomy, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, and attempted first-degree sexual abuse.

According to court documents, the alleged incidents occurred on March 5, 2021, while Owen was serving in his role as an EEG technician at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

Owen was indicted in August 2022. He posted bail a few days after his arrest, court records show.
