Whether you’re itching for new ink, wanting to complete a sleeve, or looking for some design inspiration, the Owensboro Tattoo Expo will feature upwards of 100 artists available to meet every customer’s wish this weekend.
The expo, hosted by Triple Crown Tattoo Expos, is set for October 11-13 at the Owensboro Convention Center. Running til 9 p.m. each night, the event begins at 1 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A one-day ticket costs $20, while a two-day pass is $30 and a full weekend pass is $50. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
Artists will also have their own individual rates for tattoos. Organizers said artists will accept walk-ins, allowing for same-day tattoos, as well as accept scheduled appointments.

Kesada Phoupharansy, tattoo artist and event organizer, said artists are coming from all over to offer a vast array of skills and provide the right tattoo to clients.
“People can choose whatever artist they want, and it’s kind of like a big walk-in shop of tattoo artists,” she said previously.
Phoupharansy said they do not want the expo to feel overwhelming for participants or artists.
“We want to make sure that the artists-to-client ratio is good for both the artists and the client. This way, a one-on-one connection with the client and the artist is there. We don’t want to become too big,” she said.
The organizers are Kentucky-based and want to promote the state’s artists.
“Our Kentucky people are good artists, and they don’t really have much of a reputation in the tattoo world, so we’re trying to make that a thing throughout the state,” Phouphransay said previously. “We have people coming from out of the country to go this show. I know that a lot of times, clients in local areas can’t quite find the artist that is right for them. So us bringing new artists in helps them find a style and an artist that can actually suit them for the style they want.”
