Layla Cecil, a full-time cosmetologist, has taken on a new role as the owner of Lids by Layla, a custom hat bar, where customers can personalize trucker hats.
Cecil, who recently took the opportunity to purchase this business, sees it as the perfect complement to her career in cosmetology.
Located at her family’s business, Legacy Salon & Spa on 4921 Goetz Drive, Lids by Layla offers an array of decorative options, including patches, chains, charms, and pins, with prices starting at $20 for a hat with one patch.
“Trucker hats are a great way to elevate your casual looks year-round,” Cecil said. “It just seemed like the perfect side gig.”
Even though the business is still relatively new, she has a full calendar of events coming up, including the Sunset Flower Market Day at Reid’s Orchard.
“I will also offer private parties which would be great for birthday parties or even just a fun girls’ day and everything in between,” she said.
