Sydney Warren has been named Owensboro Community& Technical College’s new Vice President of Advancement and Director of the OCTC Foundation. She will begin her new position immediately.

“I have a real passion for education and how it changes the community,” Warren said. “I am excited for the opportunity to utilize my experience in annual campaigns, capital campaigns, legacy giving, endowments, and major gifts to support the students of OCTC and the Greater Owensboro community. I believe in fostering deep relationships with donors and helping them understand the impact their gifts have on students.

Warren will succeed Dr. Mike Rodgers, who is leaving OCTC to serve as President of Wilkes Community College in North Carolina.

Prior to accepting her new position, Warren served as the Vice President of Advancement at Brescia University since 2012. Before then, she worked at the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce.

“Sydney has the experience and a demonstrated track record of success,” said OCTC President Dr. Scott Williams. “She also has a passion for education and strong connections to our community. That is a perfect match to help the OCTC Foundation continue to reach and exceed our goals and grow our support for students.”

Warren graduated from Daviess County High School, taking some courses at OCTC along the way, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and a master’s degree from Brescia. Warren has served on the Girl’s Inc. Board of Directors and the Impact 100 board and serves as a chair for Impact 100 Next Gen.
