
RC Keith, 87, passed away peacefully under the care of Hospice of Western KY in Owensboro, Kentucky on July 2, 2024. RC was born on July 25, 1936, to O’dell “Jack” and Mary Keith in Butler County. RC married the love of his life, Margaret Pickrell, in 1958. They had 66 beautiful years together. RC retired from Colonial Bakery and then enjoyed sitting outside, watching the cars, and taking walks.
RC was preceded in death by his parents, his brother OC, and two infant sons, Byron and Mark Keith.
In addition to his wife, RC is survived by his son, Brian (Aimee) Keith of Owensboro. He leaves behind grandsons Bryson Keith (Jackie) and Blakely Keith, all of Owensboro, Zachary Marcum (Katie) of Bowling Green, Wesley Marcum and Landon Marcum (Allison) of Owensboro, and three great-grandchildren: Briley and Brixton Keith and Finn Marcum. He is also survived by his siblings, Vohnell Mullican, Vohlean Head, and William (Billy) Keith.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial to follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory and again from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church.
