
Joseph Carl Aull, 89, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on January 1, 1935 in Knottsville, Kentucky to the late Casper and Jessie (Jarboe) Aull. He retired from Medley’s and Glenmore Distilleries and was an Army veteran. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. Carl enjoyed NASCAR, gardening, cooking and barbequing, and playing bingo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Aull; and brothers, Charlie Aull and Francis Aull.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffery Aull of Alabama and Carl Aull (Melissa) of Tennessee; two daughters, Lisa Ford and Kay Smeathers (Rodney) both of Owensboro; two stepsons, Michael Troutman and Larry Troutman, both of Owensboro; two stepdaughters, Jeannette Turner and Linda Howe (Calvin), both of Owensboro; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Louis Aull (Mary).
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
