Edna LaVeeda Burns, age 98 of McDaniels, KY passed away June 26, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was born in Cave City, KY on October 7, 1925, daughter of the late Elzie Hester and Winifred Emily Holden Pixley. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Breckinridge County Homemakers. Edna loved and was loved by her customers at Knotty Pine Restaurant where she was a waitress. Playing Bingo and fishing with her husband were two of her favorite pastimes. She and her daughter took many bus tours together traveling the country.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Oland Burns and siblings Leslie, Dick and Archie Hester and Mary O’Conner.
She is survived by 3 children: Mark and Jackie Burns of McDaniels, KY and Bruce Burns of Louisville, KY
Several grandchildren and great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 11 AM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Monday.
