
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jaiden Kareem Kendall, 23 of Owensboro on Friday June 14, 2024. He was born on January 31, 2001, in Owensboro, KY to Joi Kendall and Kevin Washington, Sr. (LeAnne Washington).
Jaiden was a 2019 graduate of Owensboro High School and recently walked the stage earning his Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude in Business Administration from Kentucky State University May 10, 2024.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Jaiden. He enjoyed making forever memories with family and friends that will carry on his legacy by living their life to the fullest. Jaiden brought both comfort and comedy to his everyday interactions. Someone to knock you down and help pick you up, Jaiden was known for his favorable personality. He was adoring, thoughtful, humble, and fearless. Most importantly, a gentleman. He did not worry over things that did not matter, as he lived by the motto, “Pushing Peace and Positivity”. He played the game and always respected the rules.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Kendall and soul brother Tramel Barksdale.
Jaiden leaves to cherish admiring memories of his time here on earth, his parents, godmother, Anitra Douglas and godsister Toshieka Douglas, 17 siblings, Antoinette Butler, Niquisha Washington, Kevin Washington Jr, Tevin Washington, Joilyn Haught, J’Nayah Hall, Jada Hall, Raishawn Washington, Z’Naja Talbott, Ashanti Talbott, Trashad Barksdale, all of Owensboro. Kendon Washington and Kaizon Washington, Amiya Wells, DaMyas Wells, Tayvon Wells, and Dez Washington of Evansville,IN. Paternal Grandparents, Melvin Collier and Alverna Dulin of Owensboro. Maternal Grandfather, Jimmy Byrd of Owensboro. And a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 12 noon on Saturday June 29, 2024 at The Father’s House, 3031 Bittel Road, Owensboro, KY 42301 with Dr George Moore officiating. Visitation and public viewing will be from 4 to 6 pm Friday June 28, 2024 at McFarland Funeral Home, 1001 W 5th St, Owensboro, KY 42301 and again from 10am until 11:30 on Saturday at the funeral home.
