Anna Margaret Strange, 81, of Hawesville, Kentucky, passed away on June 19, 2024. She was born on December 21, 1942, in Hancock County, to the late John Evan and Margaret Ellen Rice. Margaret was a Parts Handler for Ideal Incorporate in Sycamore, Illinois, and was an active member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Margaret loved God, her husband, Harold, her family, her friends, and their puppy Missy Sue. She loved flowers, the color red, bird watching, Matt Dillon, John Wayne, and good country gospel music. Margaret was a woman of great courage, great strength, and great wisdom. She loved to sing “This is the day the Lord has made, let us REJOICE and be glad in it.” She is already missed, but we know she is no longer in pain and is singing loud and clear in God’s Heavenly Choir.
In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her siblings, John Robert Rice, Virginia Mae Albion, David Rice, Wayne Douglas Rice, Wanda Jean Howard, Carolyn Sue Rice, and Mary Ann Rice.
Those left to cherish Margaret’s memory include her spouse, Harold Strange; her children, Linda (Dave) Logsdon, of North Platte, NE, and Norman (Pam) Strange, of Killen, AL; her grandchildren, Zach (Alicia) Logsdon, Connor (Ashlan) Strange, Caitlin (Jesse) Miller, Caleb (Chelsi) Strange, and Cara (Zach) Dulaney; her siblings, Valerie Lucille Brown, Emer “Dink” (Linda) Rice, Alice Faye Hayden; and nine cherished great-grandchildren.
Services will commence at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Eaton Memorial Baptist Church, in Owensboro. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory, on Monday, June 24, 2024, and again on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, at Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. A private burial will take place at a later date at Elmwood Cemetery, in Sycamore, Illinois.
