Dennis Thurman, 73, of Owensboro, passed away on June 20, 2024. He was born August 7, 1950, in Daviess County, to the late Earl B. and Thelma E. Thurman.
Dennis was a Master Electrician and Certified Building Inspector who retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and Owensboro Metropolitan Planning Commission. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Walnut Street Baptist Church and Buena Vista Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Butler.
Those left to cherish Dennis’ memory include his spouse of fifty-three years, Margaret (Akers) Thurman, his children, Eric (Lesley) Thurman and Sarah (Jeremy) Raines, his grandchildren, Markus, Lucy, Emily, and Jack, and his siblings, Sandra Webb and Rick (Jennifer) Thurman.
The family will welcome guests during visitation, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory, on Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
