
Harold Hazelwood, 79, passed away at his home on June 19, 2024. The Henderson native was born on April 20, 1945, to Lewis and Beulah Evalyn Hazelwood. He worked for Henderson County Coal Retiki Mine for 18 years and was also a carpenter. He enjoyed building furniture in his home wood shop when he wasn’t out catfishing with his nephew.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Beulah; son, Harold Dennis Hazelwood; siblings, Barbara Pate, Wanda Evans, Tommy Hazelwood, Mike Hazelwood, and Pauline Gibson; and grandchildren, Lisa Marie Carter and angel baby, Christopher Carter.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife of almost 58 years, Margaret Hazelwood; daughter, Angela (Michael) Anguish; siblings, Lewis Albert Hazelwood, Thelma Watson, Sam Hazelwood, Pat Hazelwood, and Sue Dodson; grandchildren, Karen Carter, Hayley Hazelwood, and Kyle Hazelwood; 3 great-grandchildren; as well many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
