CENTRAL CITY – Rowena Rager, 80, of Central City, died Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 11:11PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Ms. Rager was born January 11, 1944 in Muhlenberg County. She was a member of Powers Chapel General Baptist Church and worked as a Dietary Cook for 29 years for Job Corps. She loved to garden, enjoyed watching movies, camping, spending time with her family, and going to church. She was preceded in death by her father, Shelby Williams; mother, Flo-ella Williams; sister, Kathy Brewer; brother, Pete Williams; son, Vernon Lee Crook; and husband, James Kenneth Rager.
She is survived by her sons, Greg (Stefanie) Rager, and Scotty (Misty) Rager; daughter, Karen Mcdill; sister, Betty Willis; brothers, Melvin Williams, and Cecil Williams.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 21, 2024 at 12PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. J.W. Haire officiating. Burial in Cherry Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:30AM -12PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
