
DRAKESBORO – Myrna Elois Tatum, 84, of Drakesboro, died Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 4:40AM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Ms. Tatum was born December 15, 1939 in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, going to church, watching UK Basketball, flea-market shopping, and Thursday lunches with her sisters. She loved packing around her dog, and getting her hair done on Thursdays at Golden Scissors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Cotton” Tatum; parents, Martin “Jack” and Opal Brown; son, Troy Tatum; brother, Jackie Brown; sister, Yvonne Wood; and great-grandson, Jacob Tatum.
She is survived by her two sons, Carlos (Lori) Tatum of Central City, and Kevin (Crystal) Tatum of Greenville; grandchildren, Jared (Johanna) Tatum, Preston Tatum, Lauren Jill (Daniel) Mercer, and Christian Tatum; great-grandchildren, Tate Mercer, Liv Mercer, Alex Tatum, James Tyler Wooley, Tabitha Marie Trenda, and Henry Tatum; sisters, Linda (Ron) Welborn, Vanessa (Billy) Hayes, and Debbie (Bob) Vick; and sister-in-law, Brenda Brown.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11AM at Riverside Baptist Church in Drakesboro with Bro. Greg Brooks officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, and 9AM-11AM on Wednesday at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
