CENTRAL CITY – Gynon Brothers Huddleston, 87, of Central City, died Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 7:10PM at her residence. Ms. Huddleston was born July 2, 1936 in Greenville. She was a Bookkeeper for Huddleston Electric and a member of First Baptist Church in Central City. Her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was a faithful servant of God and loved to serve big Sunday afternoon meals. She just recently celebrated her 70th wedding anniversary to the love of her life, Frankie. In her younger years, she loved to cheer for the Bremen Eagles. Gardening, playing piano, and singing in her church choir were some of her favorite pastimes. She is preceded in death by her parents, Estel and Hazel Brothers; brother, Vernon Brothers; and sisters, Lavon Roark, Anna Faye Stanfield, and Elizabeth Brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Henry Huddleston; children, Terry Huddleston (Lahoma Austin), Judy Laycock (Dennis), and Johnny Huddleston (Vernon Smith); grandchildren, Terra Huddleston, Trista Huddleston (DeLacy Groves), Tia Huddleston, Tanner Huddleston (Mallory), Scotty Morehead (Amanda), Tracy Morehead, Camron Laycock (Marla), and Emily Jones (Jeff); great-grandchildren, Victoria White, Bayleigh and Braxton Hearld, Jayden Owens, Jase and Juliana West, Linkyn, Lyric and Maxwell Huddleston, Andrew Strader, and J.T. Mercer; and sister, Maxine Cox.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 12:30PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Dr. Chase Thompson officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9AM-12:30PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
