Ernest H. Bartlett, 84, of Philpot, passed away at the Heartford House on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. He was born on June 28, 1939 in Ohio County, to the late Franklin and Emogene Hinton Bartlett. Ernest retired from Modern Welding after 36 years of service. He was a member of Dawson Baptist Church and the Lion’s Club. Ernest enjoyed UK basketball, NASCAR and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Ernest is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris Clark Bartlett and their son, Frankie (Stacy) Bartlett; grandchildren, Felicia (Dylan) Cox and Brandon Bartlett; great-granddaughter, Karsyn Cox and his siblings, Michael (Marie) Bartlett and Sharon Moll and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY, with burial following at Barnett’s Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, May 30 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
