Brian “Greg” Baker, 67, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born in Owensboro on January 27, 1957, to the late Arol and Gertrude Baker. Greg spent many years working at the Opportunity Center Workshop. Greg was always smiling and was a simple and carefree guy. He enjoyed watching TV, especially Family Feud, and spending time with his family. Greg had a true passion for bowling and was a part of the Hocker Bowling League.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Gary Lynn Baker, his niece Anita Fares.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers Larry (Janet) Baker of Owensboro, Ronald (Kathy) Baker of Louisville, and Mike (Tracy) Baker of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; his nieces and nephews Madalynn Baker, Maxwell Baker, Bryan Baker, Amanda Gould, David Baker, and Kevin Baker; several great-nieces and nephews and several special cousins.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
