Larry K. Aldridge, 76, of Island, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. He was born July 12, 1947 in Hardinsburg, KY. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was a life member of McLean County VFW Post 5415 where he served in the honor guard. He was a member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union 633 and retired from TVA. Larry was also a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going on trips with the Faith Riders, Larry also enjoyed working in the yard and to piddle in his garage. Most of all he loved his family.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Hazel Aldridge; two brothers, Ernie and Bill Aldridge; and a sister, Patsy Lee.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jane Aldridge; daughter, Tina Leachman; Granddaughters, Tori (Dakota) Holland, Tessa Hardin, Faith (Canaan) Burden; Great Grandchildren, Maci, Raylen, and Griffin; sister, Joyce Lee; brother, Wayne (Marilyn) Aldridge; Sister-in-law, Janie Aldridge; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Island Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors being performed by the McLean County VFW Post 5415.
