Steven O’Neil Burks, 43 of Owensboro, passed away on September 9, 2018, due to a tragic fishing accident and was recovered August 28, 2023 in Henderson County. He was born on November 28, 1974 in Ohio County. Steven was a self-employed carpenter, who loved fishing and rabbit hunting.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roscoe & Mildred Burks and Herman & Florence Ambrose; cousin, Tiffany Huff.
Survivors include his parents, Brenda and Herman Ambrose; sister, Sandy Ambrose; nieces and nephews, Logan & Jordan Tindall, Katherine and Matthew Hibbitt; and a bonus son, Dylan Stroble; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial visitation & a celebration of Steven’s life will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY.
