GREENVILLE, KY., Tony Dean Johnson, 59, of Powderly passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024 at The Heartford House in Owensboro. He was born in Greenville on July 6, 1964 the son of the late Lasley Ander (L.A.) Johnson and Neveline McIntosh Johnson. He was a member of Lone Star General Baptist Church and was a truck driver all of his life. He loved playing drums and was a Star Wars fanatic.
He is survived by 2 sons Anthony Johnson of Greenville and Jeremy (Ashlee) Johnson of Greenville, 4 grandchildren Maddison Johnson, Harleen Johnson, Penelope Johnson, and Waverly Johnson, 3 brothers Gary (Donna) Johnson of Owensboro, Danny (Lana) Johnson of Greenville, and Donnie (Cindy) Johnson of Greenville, 2 sisters Judy Watts of Greenville and Debbie (Mark) Haliday of Central City.
Visitation will be after 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2024 until time of funeral at 3:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Ruby Rickard officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery in Greenville.
