Daviess County and Owensboro Catholic went head-to-head in a city-county matchup, and OCHS came out with the sweep over DC.
The Lady Aces defeated the Lady Panthers 9-0. They were led in singles by two 6-0 wins from Ella Cason, 8-0 wins by Madison Clark and Isabelle Reisz, and an 8-1 win from Lexie Moyers. In doubles, the duo of Reisz/Julia Marshall won 6-1 and 6-3, Maddie Meyer/Eizabeth Hayden won two 6-1 matches and Sophia Merchant/Meredith Traylor won 8-1.
The Aces defeated the Panthers 6-3 and were led in singles by an 8-2 win from Ben Haines and an 8-3 win from Houston Danzer. OCHS was led in doubles with 6-0 and 6-3 wins from Joseph Merchant and Patrick Hauke. For DCHS, Yuga Kani won 8-6 and Landon McDuffee won a tie breaker after losing 6-4 and then winning 6-2. The win in doubles came from the duo of George Newton/Max Stennett who won a close 9-8(5) match.
