GREENVILLE, KY., Nancy Jean Cowan, 54, of Greenville passed away on May 5, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. She was born in Greenville on October 28, 1969 the daughter of Lawrence Laverne Groves and Jean Newman Groves. She was a housewife and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Larry Thomas Groves.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years Charles Anthony Cowan of Greenville, 3 children Whitney Lee (Tyler) Stanley of Owensboro, Phillip Thomas (Brittany) Lanier of Drakesboro, and Christian Nichele (Ron) Edwards of Greenville, 18 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren,
1 brother Byron (Kathy) Groves of Greenville, 3 sisters Sandy Ray of Tyewhoppity, Melinda (Tim) Eaves of Powderly, and Melissa (Kevin) Epley of Central City.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral at Mercer Baptist Church in Greenville.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Mercer Baptist Church in Greenville at 1:00 PM with Rev. Ron Noffsinger officiating.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Greenville. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
