Robert W. “Bob” White, 88, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024 at his home. He was born September 17, 1935 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Charles Robert White and Mable Sampson White. Bob was a police officer for the Louisville Police Department for 29 years, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of TPA.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta Baker White; three sons, John White (Jenny) of Texas, Steve White (Amy) of Washington, and Mark White (Lorie) of Illinois; daughter, Donna Bickwermert (Robert Bray); grandchildren, Christine, Zoe, Ava, Bryan, Sarah, Emily, Daniel, Cheyenne Prater (Elzie), Rheanna Bray, KayesLeigh Bray; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Kayelee, Tammy, and Clay Prater and Christopher Bray; and a half-sister, Loraine Edwards.
Funeral services will be at noon on Monday, May 6, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday and from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
