Charles “Charlie” Noel O’Bryan

Charles “Charlie” Noel O’Bryan, 91, of Owensboro, passed away April 23, 2024. He was born April 7, 1933, in West Louisville, Kentucky to the late James C. O’Bryan and Agnes Murphy O’Bryan. Charlie was a Sgt. First Class Army Veteran who served in the Korean War and retired from Rental Uniform Service where he was the CEO. Charlie was of the Christian faith and a member of the VFW Post 696.

Charlie enjoyed watching NASCAR, UK Basketball, and traveling. He also enjoyed spending time working in his yard.

Along with his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Marie Peek O’Bryan, son, Charles N. “Chuck” O’Bryan, II; siblings, Kenny Ray O’Bryan, Jim O’Bryan, Judy Daily, and Patty Pike; and infant brother, Terry O’Bryan.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Faye Isom O’Bryan; children, Ronald (Donna) “Ronnie” O’Bryan, Terry O’Bryan, Mike (Denise) O’Bryan, and Paula Snyder (Richard Brown); grandchildren, Misty (Mark), Melody, Christa, Coreena (Andrew), Rachel, Jessica (David), and Christopher (Kallie); 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Roger O’Bryan, Danny O’Bryan, Larry O’Bryan, Jerry O’Bryan, Richard O’Bryan, Joe O’Bryan, Tommy O’Bryan, Wanda Wahl, and Joyce Drury; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery with military honors taking place. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory.
