Richard Lee Hocker 84, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest in Owensboro. Richard Lee Hocker was born October 13, 1939 in South Carrollton, Kentucky to the late William Downey and Emogene Barnard Hocker.
Richard received a B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky in 1961, and worked for Arthur Anderson in St. Louis until 1961, when he joined Texas Gas in Owensboro. He became Director of Corporate Auditing there in 1983, along with some special projects. Richard retired from Texas Gas in 1991.
He enjoyed talking with family and friends, and had a wide range of interests in reading throughout his life. Richard had a great sense of humor, always keeping people on their toes.
Richard is survived by a brother, John Hocker (Janet) of Livermore; a sister, Ruth Ann Szymanski (Conrad) of Bradenton, Florida; three nephews; a great nephew; and a great niece.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Richard’s family.
