
Jerome Blair, 81, of Owensboro, passed away on March 28, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born October 7, 1942, in Rome, Kentucky to the late John Phillip Blair and Mary Emma Murphy Blair. Jerome worked for St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in maintenance. He also was a faithful member of the church and active in the Men’s Club.
Jerome enjoyed working on mowers, playing cornhole, deer hunting, and working on puzzles. He had a servant’s heart and a passion for helping anyone who needed it.
Along with his parents, Jerome was preceded in death by his siblings, Michael Blair, Daniel “Fuzz” Blair, Jerome Clyde Blair, and John T. Blair.
Jerome is survived by his wife, Bonnie Sandefur Blair; siblings, Ben (Stanette) Blair, Mary (John) Jones, Thomas (Janie) Blair, Angela Peerman, Robert (Gail) Blair; sister-in-law, Lucy Blair; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with Fr. Jegin and Fr. Will presiding. Burial to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with prayers being said at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory.
