Evelyn Menser Simpson, 96 years old, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, peacefully at Twin Rivers Nursing Center in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born in Hopkins County on October 9, 1927. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Thomas M. Simpson and her son Barton Simpson. She was the daughter of the late Marion Leslie Menser and Lois Fisher Menser. She was the sister of the late Lorene Menser Sparks, the late Jewell Menser, and the late Norman Menser, along with several nephews and nieces.
Evelyn resided in Columbus, Indiana for many years where she worked at the hospital in administration. She traveled extensively and particularly enjoyed her trips to Russia, Brazil, And Hawaii. Evelyn will be buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Providence, Kentucky.
The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Burial is private.
